[Webinar Recording, Peer Review Week Day 1] Author, reviewer, & journal perceptions of peer review
Do authors, reviewers, and journal editors think of peer review in the same way? Also, does their level of experience (writing papers, reviewing them, or managing journal processes) change how they interact with peer review?
On September 20, 2021 - Day 1 of Peer Review Week 2021 - we invited a group of speakers to exchange their thoughts about peer review from the author, reviewer, and journal perspectives. The session was moderated by @chris leonard (Director of Products and Strategy, CACTUS, and R Voice Host). The speakers were @Raj sundaram (Staff Research Scientist, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Japan) @Yufita Chinta (Environmental Science Researcher, Hokkaido University, Japan) and Michael Willis (Researcher Advocate, Wiley). Between Chris, Raj, Yufita, and Michael, the discussion saw a healthy debate and exchange of opinions and expectations from an author, a reviewer, and a journal editor.
