Are you willing to share positive vibes?!

We all are going through tough times, sharing some common adverse effects of COVID-19. But, maybe, perhaps, something even very small positive might have happened with you! It could be like a tiny smiling moment. But are you ready to share even that with all? If yes, then please, enlighten every possible mind with such a tiny smiling moment.

Everything around me has been so unfortunate and terrifying for so SO long, that I think I've almost forgotten how to take a step back and be thankful for the little things that have been keeping me going. So I want to thank you for this reminder @Soumi Paul 😊
Something small, but surely positive did happen over the weekend. And while it might seem very basic and not much to think about, it made me smile and brought me a tiny sliver of hope for life going back to normal at some point. After lunch on Sunday afternoon, my family and I were craving dessert and so we started looking up dessert spots on a delivery app. What started as browsing, ended up being full-fledged discussion about ice-cream flavors, sundaes, milkshakes, toppings and sprinkles for at least 25 minutes until everyone was happy with their choice. Seeing how happy and peaceful this made my family, made me even happier (with my parents fake-complaining about all this pampering lol). It might seem silly at the surface, but hey, we could all use a little silly now 😃
P.S. I chose a sundae filled with chocolate and vanilla ice cream, lots of nuts, and chocolate sauce. It was divine 😍

It's so great that you enjoyed your "sundae filled with chocolate and vanilla ice cream, lots of nuts, and chocolate sauce." Happiness is a collection of these tiny moments only. I am going through hell as well. I do not even remember when all these started and when they will end. But, when something small good happens, I feel like clinging to it because this moment is always like, now or never. I hope you, I, we all keep on loving our tiny moments of happiness always.

Being grateful is one very strong attitude research has found which increase our oxytocin levels, the happy hormone.
Maybe writting down on a paper 3 things you're grateful for every day can help?

True that, @Lidia Lins. I have heard the same as well. We must really have a grateful personal journal so that we have our constant reasons to smile. 😊

@Soumi Paul , it was 5:45 am when the alarm went off this morning and I wondered why I was punishing myself ☺️ As I 👣along the path, I saw the greenery on the trees - a blessed sight after a long winter; I heard the rumbling of the local train passing by in an otherwise still morning; I took off my mask and pulled my jacket closer to ward of the morning chill ... and I remembered why ...💚

Thank you for this reminder @Soumi Paul. I want to share one to all.
Since I do WFH, I set my table in front of a big window in my room, facing to the street. I can see the grass growing up outside. On last Monday, there were yellow accent from dandelion among the green grasses. Those beautiful nature gives me a smile.

@Dahlia T, virtual hugs from me too 🤗🤗🤗🤗. There's no denying that the days are tough. It's below the surface, sometimes and other times being very dominant. I am coping with things no matter how hard. These days I am reading my favorite, much-waited book, Midnight Sun, and it feels good. I am again clinging to the bright side of hope, fantasy. 😊

Watching movies can be helpful. Calling a family or friend to chat up is great.
2 -
True that. But because of the pandemic spending time with a friend face to face is being a little challenging now.

@Soumi Paul I was just thinking about this yesterday. I was thinking about how long it's been since I've seen any of my closest friends in person. It has indeed been very difficult and quite scary to meet anyone for the past one year and I miss my friends dearly. I guess feeling nostalgic while looking at pictures of the fun times we've had and doing video calls will have to do for now 😕
How have you been keeping in touch with your friends?

I also truly very much miss being with my best friend. She works in a hospital as a nutritionist. This pandemic situation is very stressful for her. The last time I met her in person was before the 2nd wave of COVID. Now It's really months, and we both are busy and bored in our own way.

Oh gosh! I can't imagine how frustrating this situation must be for you @Soumi Paul 😓
I imagine it could be quite confusing because on one hand you're most certainly proud of your friend's work as a frontline warrior. But, at the same time, knowing that she is more exposed than most people must have you worried sick. I hope you're both able to find the strength to get through this difficult time. Here's also hoping that there's light at the end of the tunnel and that we'll see it soon.

Yes, I truly hope there's light for all of us. The stresses of frontline workers are really painful to hear. Survival is much tougher for them.
